Hi everyone!
Tex here. I wanted to clear something up, dog-to-human: Destructive dogs aren’t "bad" dogs. And if you’re busy, you aren't "failing."
My human (Dial) is great, but he’s always "on a call" or "working" when my brain is screaming for a job to do. You see, us dogs are hardwired for a very specific loop:
Chase → Hunt → Consume
That loop isn’t a choice for us—it’s biological. When we don’t get to finish that loop, all that pent-up energy doesn’t just go away. It "leaks" out in ways that make humans grumpy, like:
Chewing the furniture.
Turning toys into floor-confetti.
That restless "I’ve got an itch I can't scratch" feeling in the living room.
The Problem is…
Most of the stuff humans buy for us doesn't actually help.
Cameras just let you watch us be bored in HD.
Automatic feeders give us food without the effort (where’s the fun in that?).
Walks are nice for a potty break, but for dogs like me, a stroll around the block is just a warm-up.
Most products are just distractions. They don't give our brains the workout we crave.
Completing the Loop
That’s why we’re building Loopo. Loopo is designed to be my "treat-firing companion" that never gets tired of my enthusiasm. It gives us a structured outlet to solve problems and burn off steam—even when your life gets hectic.
A tired dog is a happy dog. And a fulfilled dog is when the whole house finally gets some peace and quiet.
Next time, I’ll show you how Dial is "working like a dog" on the final version of the launcher—and why we’re obsessing over every single detail.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I hear a treat calling my name!
Sniffs and bays,
Tex, Chief Inspiration Officer, Loopo
